Harris Appears To Talk To High Schoolers Like Toddlers

In a new video shared across social media, Vice President Kamala Harris appears to talk to a group of high schoolers in an infantilized manner.

In the video, shared by former President Donald Trump's campaign, Harris, flanked by her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, spoke with members of a high school band about the importance of leadership. As she spoke, Harris used grandiose hand movements and appeared to over-enunciate her words.

“Our country is counting on you,” Harris said, talking with her hands and gently nodding her head with emphasis. “All of you. You are leaders. By the very fact that you all are here in this room, doing what you do at this incredible school, doing it as one big team, understanding all the different parts that fit together to create a team.”

Critics of Harris pointed out the Democratic presidential nominee's odd manner of speaking to teenagers.

“When the hands start a-wavin’, you know it’s gonna be baaaaaaaaaad,” wrote The Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro.

In another post, Shapiro shared a GIF of an air traffic controller dancing while wearing an orange safety vest saying, "Kamala every time she has no idea what the f--- to say."

“Can’t imagine being Tim Walz and having to listen to this bulls--- nonsense and then act like I agree with it???? Hilarious,” wrote another user.

“Kamala explains the concept of how teams work together to a high school band as if they are 5 years old,” wrote conservative communications strategist Greg Price. “It’s a real mystery why her handlers never let her speak without a script …”

Another user said Harris "talks down to everyone."

Harris' first interview with media since replacing President Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee for president will premiere this evening. Walz will appear with Harris in the pre-taped interview with CNN's Dana Bash.
