Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has urged neoconservative presidential candidate Nikki Haley to drop out of the race because the nominee is "going to be Donald Trump."
McDaniel made the comments during an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum on Tuesday.
The segment was discussing Trump’s New Hampshire primary victory the day before.
Despite coming in third in Iowa and losing to Trump by double digits again in New Hampshire, Haley vowed to remain in the race instead of conceding.
"I’m looking at the math and the path going forward and I don’t see it for Nikki Haley," McDaniel said. "I think she’s run a great campaign, but I do think there’s a message that’s coming out from the voters that’s very clear." 🚨RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel calls on Nikki Haley to drop out of the 2024 Presidential race after losing to Trump in New Hampshire:

McDaniel then declared, in no uncertain terms, "We need to unite around our eventual nominee, which is going to be Donald Trump."
"We need to make sure we beat Joe Biden," McDaniel continued. "It is ten months away until the November election and we can’t wait any longer to put our foot on the gas to beat the worst president… We need to do everything we can to unite so that we can defeat him."
After her New Hampshire defeat, the Haley-aligned super PAC SFA Fund announced that they are “prepared for a long-term battle” and announced a multimillion-dollar ad buy in South Carolina.
