Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance compared giving Vice President Kamala Harris control over the United States' inflation policy with giving control over the nation's human trafficking policy to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The Republican vice-presidential nominee delivered his remarks during a Sunday appearance on Fox News with host Shannon Bream.
“The American people just don’t buy the idea that Kamala Harris, who has been vice president for three and a half years, is somehow going to tackle the inflation crisis in a way tomorrow that she hasn’t for the past 1,300 days,” Vance told Bream.
"Giving Kamala Harris control over inflation policy, it’s like giving Jeffrey Epstein control over human trafficking policy,” he added. NEW: JD Vance shreds Kamala Harris, says putting her in control of inflation is like putting Jeffrey Epstein in control of human trafficking policy.

“The American people are much smarter than that. They don’t buy the idea that Kamala Harris represents a fresh start. She is more of the same,” Vance continued.
“It is doubling down on the failed policies of the Harris administration to give Kamala Harris a promotion rather than to fire her, which is what I think most Americans are going to do in November,” he added.
Vance's remarks come off the heels of former President Donald Trump's latest campaign ad targeting Harris and President Joe Biden over inflation plaguing the nation.
The ad, released on Saturday, features a series of news reports on 40-year-high inflation juxtaposed by Harris referring to the Biden-Harris administration's economic policies as "Bidenomics." The ad goes on to cite record-high fuel prices as Harris repeats: "Bidenomics is working." The ad concludes by highlighting a spike in unemployment as the vice president declares: "We are very proud of Bidenomics."
