Trump’s Plane Diverted Over Mechanical Issue While Flying to Montana Rally

Former President Donald Trump's airplane, "Trump Force One," was diverted on Friday due to mechanical issues while transporting the Republican presidential nominee to his Montana rally.

The plane landed early at an airport in Billings.

Many of his supporters took to social media to express their concern for his safety, citing the fact that he was shot in the ear by an attempted assassin at a rally in July.

Trump posted a video from the plane but did not mention the issues that caused an early landing.

"I just landed in a really beautiful place: Montana. So beautiful, flying over and you just look down and that's the way it's supposed to be," Trump said in a video from his plane posted to Truth Social. "I'm here to do some fundraisers and, most importantly, to support Tim Sheehy, who is running for the U.S. Senate, and we think he's going to do really well. We're going to have a rally. And it'll be a lot of fun."

Trump reportedly took a different private plane to Bozeman, where the rally is scheduled to take place this evening.

The former president is scheduled to speak at the rally at 8 p.m. local time.
