Trailer For Upcoming Daily Wire Comedy Receives Overwhelmingly Positive Reactions From Political Pundits, Personalities

Political pundits and media figures offered an overwhelmingly positive reaction to The Daily Wire's announcement of an upcoming original comedy movie.

On Monday, a trailer for Lady Ballers was released in an X post shared by co-CEO of The Daily Wire, Jeremy Boreing.

Boreing stars in the upcoming film as a former high school basketball coach, Rob. In a desperate effort to win a competition, Rob employs a team of biological men who adopt modern radical gender theory and identify as women to defeat multiple female sports teams.

The Daily Wire co-CEO is joined by other Daily Wire podcast hosts Jake Crain, Blain Crain, and David Cone from the outlet's sports podcast, Crain & Co and fellow Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh, along with other conservative figures including Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Lady Ballers is scheduled for release on Monday, Dec. 1 on the outlet's streaming platform, DailyWire+. Other Daily Wire hosts Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles, Brett Cooper, and Andrew Klavan also make cameos in the film.

Cruz praised the upcoming movie and took aim at late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, with whom the Texas senator has had a light rivalry with, in an X post commenting on the trailer's release.

"Jimmy Kimmel, this is how you make basketball comedy that is actually funny," he wrote, referencing a 2018 one-on-one game of basketball with Kimmel. "Take notes."

Comedian and sitcom star Roseanne Barr, who has been outspoken about her conservative beliefs, enthusiastically asked "When and where can I see this?!"

Libs of TikTok creator Chaya Raichik also expressed excitement for The Daily Wire's upcoming comedy release.

"This looks sooo good," she wrote. "Can't wait to watch!"

CEO of satirical news site the Babylon Bee, Seth Dillon, who also makes a cameo in the film, said "The madness must be mocked."

"Well done, Jeremy," Dillon said. "You'll get a mention when I win Best Supporting Actor for my part in this."

“Hollywood won’t make a movie about how laughably absurd it is that we now allow grown men to call themselves women and then dominate women’s sports,” Boreing said of The Daily Wire’s new comedy in an X post along with the Monday trailer release.

“The only thing happening in our culture more absurd and hilarious than men calling themselves women and then dominating women’s sports is that the ‘speak truth to power’ set on the left not only won’t make fun of it, they won’t even acknowledge it’s a joke,” Boreing added, per the outlet. “This movie is for the women who have trained their entire lives only to be beaten at their sport by a man who couldn’t win at his, the majority of Americans who find the whole idea of men in women’s sports to be objectively wrong, and anyone who misses comedy – which the woke left destroyed on their ascent to cultural primacy.”
