Rappers Film Music Video Outside DC Prison Holding January 6 Protesters, Feature Ashli Babbitt's Mother

Rappers Forgiato Blow and Ron J. Spike have filmed their latest music video outside the DC jail where January 6 protesters have been detained — some of them for years.

The music video also featured Micki Witthoeft, 58, the mother of Ashli Babbitt.

Babbitt, 35, was fatally shot by Capitol police officer Lt. Michael Byrd as she attempted to climb through a window to the Speaker's lobby. She was unarmed.

The new song is titled The Peoples Reverend and was filmed at the prison where patriots, protesters, and Babbitt's mother have been holding vigil for over 200 nights.

"They left blood on the Capitol steps, they set us up," the lyrics state. "Patriots fighting for freedom and we not letting up."

According to a report from The Gateway Pundit, Forgiato Blow’s song Ashli Babbitt is played nightly at the vigil.

Forgiato Blow mainly creates pro-Trump anthems and has collaborated with other patriotic rappers including Vanilla Ice and Bryson Gray.

A fundraising page for the vigil and #4Ashli Movement states that "Micki has dedicated her life to being at the vigil every night to help spread awareness about the civil and human rights abuses being suffered by our January 6 patriots."

Witthoeft was arrested outside the Capitol while protesting on the second anniversary of her daughter's killing. The Capitol Police claimed that she was blocking a road without a permit and was cited for "failing to obey an order and for blocking and obstructing roadways."

Local station ABC 8 reported at the time, "USCP said the group didn’t have a permit to demonstrate on Capitol grounds. Officers established a police line to keep the group from moving farther west on Independence Avenue SW. Police said officers and officials told the demonstrators to get out of the roadway or they would be arrested. The sidewalk was open. Police said officers gave Witthoeft a number of warnings, but she refused to leave. USCP said Witthoeft turned around with her hands behind her back and asked to be arrested."

Babbitt was Witthoeft's only daughter.

Lt. Byrd was cleared by the Capitol Police and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia of any wrongdoing for the shooting. He became a darling of left wing media after publicly revealing his name.
