On what appears to be a journey to better her health, Lizzo shared a video showing off recent weight loss and said she is "taking a gap year [and] protecting my peace."
Earlier this month, the rapper shared a video montage of herself exercising in a gym on her Instagram account.
"If you’re reading this… remember you can do ANYTHING you put ur mind to! Stay focused, you got this," Lizzo captioned her post. "Unfortunately I’ll be posting way too many bikini pics," she added in another post.
On Monday, Lizzo shared another video to her Instagram of herself wearing a bathing suit on a landing while reaching up to the sky. Followers noted the rapper appeared to have lost a significant amount of weight.
“I’m taking a gap year & protecting my peace,” Lizzo captioned the video.
"Never thought I’d ever say great job to Lizzo of all ppl," wrote one user.
"Lizzo you look amazing!!!!!" wrote another.
In May, Lizzo's weight and support for body positivity was mocked during an hour-long South Park special, "The End of Obesity," which covered the rising popularity of semaglutide weight loss drugs Ozempic and Monjaro.
During the special, Sharon Marsh and Sheila Broflovski, mothers of Stan and Kyle, discuss Ozempic and Monjaro. Sharon confides in Sheila that her insurance won't cover the cost of the drug's prescription and says she was prescribed a different medication.
"Don't you know, Sheila? Now there's a whole new obesity drug for those of us who can't afford Ozempic and Monjaro," Sharon tells Sheila, adding, "I controlled all my cravings to be thinner with Lizzo."
Sharon then says, "I've lowered my standards, and my expectations" as a faux infomercial begins with the narrator claiming Lizzo users "no longer care how much they weigh."
"Lizzo helps you eat everything you want, and keep physical activity to a minimum," the announcer continues, warning users may experience "constipation while listening to Lizzo," and informs users to "stop listening to Lizzo if you experience suicidal thoughts.
"Other side effects of the fake drug include pancreatitis, hypothermia, and s----ing out your ears," the announcer adds. "Ask about the power of not giving a f--- with Lizzo."
The rapper said South Park's mockery of her was "crazy" in a video shared across her social media accounts.
"I just feel like, damn, I'm really that b----," Lizzo says in her TikTok duet. "I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f--- to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f--- I am, and put it on their cartoon that's been around for 25 years."
Lizzo reiterated: "I'm really that b----, and I'll show y'all how to not give a f---, and I'm gonna keep showing you how to not give a f---."
