Rep. Lauren Boebert won the packed Republican primary in Colorado’s 4th after switching districts on Tuesday evening — and celebrated in a pair of counterfeit Trump sneakers from China.
Boebert confessed to local media that she was wearing "very China" fakes of the sold-out golden Trump sneakers.
The sneakers retail for $399, and though they are sold out, they can still be pre-ordered on the website. The Denver Westword reports:During her victory speech, Boebert wore what many news outlets are reporting to be Trump's "limited-edition" reflective gold sneakers that he's been hawking, which caught the eye of social media users. But she informed Westword that they're actually fakes.
"These are very China, but I'm okay with that," she said, laughing. "If I could've bought the OGs, I would have."
Boebert told the outlet that she had just got off the phone with former President Donald Trump.
"He congratulated me, he loves me and thanks me for a good win," Boebert said of the call.
"I said a lot of great things," the congresswoman said. "I told him I'm looking forward to helping him in this fight and that I'm going to be there [for him], and I told him he needs to win his third election."
Boebert added, "The haters do not define me. I am blood bought, blood washed. I'm a daughter of the almighty God. That is where I get my value. And that is the only thing I will allow to define me." A triumphant Boebert arranged Trump sneakers and a MAGA hat on the stage at her watch party in Windsor tonight.

The seat, which previously belonged to Rep. Ken Buck, should be an easy win for the congresswoman in November as it leans heavily red.
