In another ridiculous moment from the mainstream media, CNN's Dana Bash asked vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance if he believes that Vice President Kamala Harris is black.
The Onion-level question came during Sunday morning’s CNN’s State of the Union episode.
Bash brought Harris' race up in the context that former President Donald Trump has repeatedly pointed out that Harris is not "black," as she is Indian and Jamaican — not African-American. BASH: Well, he questioned her racial identity. He said: “A number of years ago, she happened to turn black.”

VANCE: But I believe, importantly, that President Trump is right that she’s a chameleon. She pretends to be one thing in front of one audience. She pretends to be something different in front of another audience.
Look, Dana, she’s not running a political campaign. She’s running a movie. She only speaks to voters behind a teleprompter. Everything is scripted. She doesn’t have her policy positions out there. She hasn’t answered why she wanted to ban fracking, but now she doesn’t. She wanted to defund police, but now she doesn’t.
