50 Cent Pays Tribute To Trump During Weekend Concert

50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, paid tribute to former President Donald Trump after he narrowly survived an assassination attempt during a Saturday rally.

The former president was shot at while speaking in Butler, Pennsylvania. After several shots were heard, Trump dropped to the floor of the stage as Secret Service rushed to protect him. More shots were heard before Secret Service helped Trump to his feet. It was later confirmed Trump was hit in the ear by the gunman.

Trump then held his fist in the air as he was escorted offstage by Secret Service.

Shortly after news broke of the assassination attempt on Trump, memes were shared across social media, some of which featured 50 Cent's 2003 album Get Rich or Die Tryin' with Trump's face superimposed on the rapper's body. In 2000, the rapper sustained nine shots to the body after a gunman opened fire. The rapper's track "Many Men," featured on his 2003 album, discusses the shooting and was used in other video memes of Trump shared online after the failed assassination attempt.

"Trump gets shot and now I'm trending," 50 Cent wrote in an X post with a shrugging emoji.

During a Saturday concert in Boston, the rapper featured the meme of Trump's face on his album cover while performing "Many Men," TMZ reported.

"Many men wish death upon me / Blood in my eye, dawg, and I can't see / I'm tryin' to be what I'm destined to be," 50 Cent raps on the track. "Now man, these p---y n----s puttin' money on my head / Go on and get your refund, motherf---er, I ain't dead."

Other memes featured the former president asking fast food service workers if they had heard of 50 Cent's "Many Men."

"34 felonies, 3 baby mommas, a mug shot and now he’s been shot at and survived," wrote one user. "Donald Trump is the blackest President we’ve ever had."

"His mixtape is going to be [fire]," they added.

In June, 50 Cent said he saw black Americans "identifying" with Trump over the former president's legal troubles, adding they could relate to Trump's RICO charges in Georgia.

In October 2020, 50 Cent threw his support behind Trump's re-election bid, saying he “[didn't] care if Trump doesn't like black people."

"62 percent are you out of ya f---ing mind," the rapper wrote of then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's proposed tax plan.

After comedian Chelsea Handler infamously criticized 50 Cent's favorable remarks on Trump, the rapper appeared to rescind his support for the former president in another social media post, saying "I never liked him."

Although the rapper has not officially endorsed Trump for president this election cycle, others have speculated 50 Cent may still support Trump's bid for re-election as the rapper has frequently discussed politics, including Trump's legal troubles, across his social media.
