‘Why Did You Kill that Lady?’: Alec Baldwin Harassed by Woman in Coffee Shop

Alec Baldwin appeared to attack the phone held by a woman who harassed him inside a New York City coffee shop on Monday.

While the actor appeared to be in the middle of a phone conversation, a woman recorded herself approaching Baldwin inside the coffee shop asking the actor to say "Free Palestine." The actor ignored the woman, who doubled down asking, "Why did you kill that lady?" in reference to the 2021 death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust, co-written and produced by Baldwin.

"You killed that lady and got no jail time," the woman continued as Baldwin remained on the phone. "No jail time, Alec?"

The woman repeated herself before noting Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed had been sentenced 18 months in prison for the death of Hutchins.

"You're putting innocent people in jail, Alec Baldwin," she said as the actor put his phone in his pocked and walked towards the door.

"Free Palestine, Alec! Just one time and I'll leave you alone," she said as Baldwin glared at her. "I'll leave you alone, I swear. Just say 'Free Palestine' one time."

The actor propped the business' front door open and instructed the woman to "get out." The woman persisted as an agitated Baldwin told one of the workers to call the police.

"You know he's a f---ing criminal," the woman told one worker. "Come on, Alec. Just say 'Free Palestine' one time."

Baldwin continued motioning for the woman to leave the building, before flatly responding "no" to the woman's request.

"Free Palestine. F--- Israel. F--- Zionism," the woman declared before once again pleading with the actor to oblige her request.

Baldwin then reentered the business and asked a worker if they could "do [him] a favor" before appearing to strike the woman's phone.

"Imagine what an obnoxious dumb a--hole you have to be to make Alec Baldwin seem sympathetic," The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh wrote to X.

CEO and host of Popcorned Planet Andy Signore also expressed sympathy for Baldwin.

"Say what you want about Alec Baldwin... This person harassing him is an a-hole," he wrote. "Twitter is bad enough, to actually have clout chasing scum scream at you in real life?"

"I'd flip out too... leave people alone," Signore added.

"The Gaza protesters are so f---ing awful and annoying that it made me feel bad for *Alec Baldwin* here," wrote another user.

Baldwin has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter of Hutchins. The actor is scheduled for a July trial date.
