WATCH: Press Briefing Derails as Jean-Pierre Refuses to Answer Questions About Parkinson’s Expert's Visits to White House

Monday's White House press briefing grew increasingly tense as press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer questions about a Parkinson's expert who has been logged visiting the White House several times.

Earlier in the day, the New York Times reported that neurologist Dr. Kevin Cannard, an expert on Parkinson’s disease from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, visited the White House eight times over eight months.

Multiple journalists in the room attempted to press Jean-Pierre about the visits, but Jean-Pierre remained tight-lipped about who the visits were for and why.

CBS News correspondent Ed O’Keefe asked, “Did Dr. Kevin Cannard come to the White House to examine the president’s condition?”

“We cannot share names!” Jean-Pierre said, claiming that the visitor log is not public.

“It’s public! I looked it up right before we came out here. It’s right there for anyone to see!” O’Keefe replied, still trying to get an answer.

“Ed, I hear you, I cannot from here confirm any of that because we have to keep their privacy. I think they would appreciate that too,” Jean-Pierre said. She went on to claim that O’Keefe’s behavior was “not acceptable” and “inappropriate.”

“I am not going to do that, Ed. It doesn’t matter how hard you push me. It doesn’t matter how angry you get with me. I’m not going to confirm a name,” she said. “It doesn’t matter if it’s even in the log. I am not going to do that from here.”
