Former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel says she was randomly hit in the face in New York City.

There has been a wave of women being randomly punched in the face in the Big Apple. Several alleged victims have discussed the attacks on TikTok.

Frankel, 53, commented on a video by a fashion student who said she was punched, writing that the same thing had happened to her a few months before.

"This is insane [because] this happened to me a few months ago but I was embarrassed to say," Frankel wrote in the comments on the video. "I was on the UWS [Upper West Side]. Insane. I was taking video of a bakery."

The next day, Frankel posted her own video detailing the assault.

"I saw a woman talking about the fact that she had been punched in the face on the street. And I commented, 'Oh my god, the same thing happened to me,'" Frankel began. "I actually recorded my reaction to it that day, but felt embarrassed or weird to post it."

Frankel said she was apartment hunting and had stopped at a bakery to take a video of some of their offerings. When she left and walked out the door, a man randomly hit her in the face.

"Hit me is more [like it], it wasn't like a closed fist," she said.

The reality star explained that she was "completely stunned."

Frankel was so upset that she texted the real estate broker and told them she no longer wanted to purchase real estate in the city.

"And at that point, I texted the broker and said, I don't want to see apartments anymore this city's insane," Frankel said.

She said that she believes the attacks are part of a "weird trend" rather than a reflection of the rising crime in the city.

"So it's a crazy crime spree and I don't understand it. And I'm sorry for all the other women that it's happening to," she continued. "It's to be cold-cocked, like in the street. It was wild. And I hope it's more of like a weird trend than an actual reflection of crime because it did scare me about New York City."
