The break-in occurred at the Trump for President 2024 campaign office in Ashburn, which also serves as the headquarters of the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee.

The sheriff's office said in an announcement that the suspect was a white male who was wearing dark clothing during the burglary.LCSO was contacted about the burglary yesterday at approximately 9:00 pm and deputies responded. The investigation is ongoing, and the LCSO has video surveillance of the suspect. He is a white adult male, wearing dark clothing, a dark cap, and a backpack when he entered the location.
“It is rare to have the office of any political campaign or party broken into,” said Sheriff Mike Chapman. “We are determined to identify the suspect, investigate why it happened, and determine what may have been taken as well as what may have been left behind.”
It remains unclear what, if anything, was stolen during the break-in. The motive also remains unknown as the suspect has not been identified. The sheriff's office released several images of the suspect and is asking for the public to help identify him. Anyone who believes they know the suspect, witnessed the burglary, or has any other information is asked to contact Detective Franks at 571-918-1869.
