Trump Wins New Hampshire Primary

Haley insisted her campaign would continue on to the upcoming South Carolina primary

Trump Wins New Hampshire Primary

Similar to last week's sweeping victory, the corporate press projected former President Donald Trump the winner of the New Hampshire primary.

Last week, in a historic landslide victory, Trump defeated fellow GOP challengers by about 30 points, garnering 51% of total votes cast in the state. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came in second with just over 21%, followed by former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley with just over 19%, per the Associated Press.

Shortly after 8 p.m. EST, the corporate press again projected Trump the winner of Tuesday night's New Hampshire primary.

With 25% of precincts reporting, Trump has secured 53.2% of votes cast followed by Haley with just under 46%, per The Associated Press.

"I’m very honored by the result," Trump told Fox News Digital's Brooke Singman in a statement.

"I want to congratulate Donald Trump on his victory tonight. He earned it and I want to acknowledge that," said runner-up Haley, who insisted her campaign would move forward into the next primary. "New Hampshire is first in the nation. It is not last in the nation. This race is far from over. There are dozens of states left to go. And next one is my sweet state of South Carolina."

Last week, in an unprecedented move, the corporate press including The Associated Press projected Trump the winner of the Iowa caucus with less than 1% of votes accounted for.

At the time of the Associate Press' reporting, Trump had garnered just over 70% of votes followed by DeSantis with 15.1%, Haley with 8.2% and Ramaswamy with 5.8%. Just under 500 votes were reported at the time of the projection.

The New York TimesNBC News, and Fox News also projected Trump the winner of the Iowa caucus.

Ramaswamy suspended his presidential bid shortly after the Iowa caucus and threw his support behind Trump. Over the weekend, DeSantis also suspended his campaign and endorsed the former president for re-election.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson have also suspended their campaigns. Hutchinson has thrown his support behind Haley, while Christie has not endorsed either remaining Republican candidate.
