Former President Donald Trump took aim at the Biden administration's "persecution" of Christians.
On Friday, Trump released a video to his social media platform Truth Social criticizing President Joe Biden and his administration's take on Christians and other Americans of faith. The video is part of the former President's "Agenda 47" series detailing Trump's re-election platform for the upcoming election.
"Under Crooked Joe Biden, Christians and Americans of faith are being persecuted like nothing this nation has ever seen before," Trump introduced his video. "Catholics in particular are being targeted and evangelicals are surely on the watch list as well."
Trump said the Biden administration has sent SWAT teams to arrest pro-life activists along with the FBI profiling Catholics as domestic terrorists. The former President stressed Catholics "cannot vote for the Democrats."
"You cannot even think about voting for Biden," Trump warned. "What they're doing to you is shocking."
Trump referenced a Dec. 4 report from the House Judiciary Committee and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government which claims the FBI "singled out Americans who are pro-life, pro-family, and support the biological basis for sex and gender distinction as potential domestic terrorists."
"This horrific weaponization of Federal law enforcement is totally un-American," Trump continued. "It is also a violation of civil rights."
Trump said if re-elected, he would create a federal task force on fighting anti-Christian bias which will be led by a reformed Department of Justice (DOJ), though will also involve other agencies and departments.
"Its purview will be to investigate all forms of illegal discrimination, harassment, and the persecution of Christians in America," he said. "As well as the use of tax-payer dollars to promote anti-Christian bigotry."
The task force will also review the past persecutions and prosecutions for evidence of anti-Christian prejudice along with examining government agencies, universities, and major corporations who have adopted "anti-Christian" diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.
"Under my leadership, never again will the federal government be used to target religious believers," Trump said. "Americans of faith are not a threat to our country. Americans of faith are the soul of our country."
"We will protect Christians and people of faiths," he added. "We will defend religion, we will defend our First Amendment, and we will restore the rule of law in America."
RealClearPolitics currently shows Trump defeating Biden in a rematch by 2.3 points in aggregate.
