Former President Donald Trump has said that he is willing to debate Vice President Kamala Harris more than once in the lead-up to the November election.
Though he is happy to debate, Trump blasted ABC News, which is scheduled to host the next debate on September 10.
“I have at least equal say, and I don’t like the idea of ABC,” Trump said to reporters during a press call. “I would be willing to do more than one debate actually.” BREAKING: In call with reporters, former President Trump tells me he is willing to commit to “more than one” debate with Kamala Harris if she is the Democratic nominee.
“Oh yes, absolutely, I want to,” Trump said when I asked.

Trump added that he had not “agreed to anything” regarding a Harris debate. On a press call just now, Trump says he'll "absolutely" commit to debating Kamala Harris, though he says he's "not thrilled about ABC" hosting it.

“I agreed to a debate with Joe Biden. But I want to debate her,” Trump said. “They have the same policies. I think debating is important for a presidential race.” I'm not gonna lie...a Trump/Harris debate would be funny as hell. pic.twitter.com/BFN2ceoh3J

Trump and President Joe Biden had agreed to have two debates before November: the one on June 27 and the one planned to be hosted by ABC News on September 10.
The June debate went so poorly for Biden that his own party rallied to pressure him to leave the race, which he did on Sunday. Less than an hour later, he endorsed Harris.
As of Monday night, Harris had secured enough delegates to become the presumptive Democrat nominee.
The vice president posted a statement on X at 12:20 a.m. EST Tuesday, saying she looks forward to formally accepting the nomination. Tonight, I am proud to have earned the support needed to become our party’s nominee.
Over the next few months, I'll be traveling across the country talking to Americans about everything on the line. I fully intend to unite our party and our nation, and defeat Donald Trump. pic.twitter.com/Bsq3N6pMAi

“When I announced my campaign for President, I said I intended to go out and earn this nomination,” Harris’ statement began. “Tonight, I am proud to have secured the broad support needed to become our party’s nominee, and as a daughter of California, I am proud that my home state’s delegation helped put our campaign over the top. I look forward to formally accepting the nomination soon.”
The Democratic National Convention is scheduled to take place in Chicago from August 19-22.
