Trump Says Haley Donors Will Be Barred From 'MAGA Camp'

Former President Donald Trump posted a threat to donors of fellow GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley saying they would be "permanently barred from the MAGA camp."

Trump made his comment in a post to Truth Social shortly after his victory in Tuesday night's New Hampshire primary.

“Nikki ‘Birdbrain’ Haley is very bad for the Republican Party and, indeed, our Country,” Trump said. “Her False Statements, Derogatory Comments, and Humiliating Public Loss, is demeaning to True American Patriots. Her anger should be aimed at her Third Rate Political Consultants and, more importantly, Crooked Joe Biden and those that are destroying our Country – NOT THE PEOPLE WHO WILL SAVE IT.”

The former President said he knew Haley well, referring to her stint as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations during his administration and said she was "average at best" and "is not the one to take on world leaders.”

"That was up to me, and that is why they respected the United States," he wrote. "When I ran for Office and won, I noticed that the losing Candidate’s ‘Donors’ would immediately come to me, and want to ‘help out.’ This is standard in Politics, but no longer with me."

"Anybody that makes a ‘Contribution’ to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp," he concluded. "We don’t want them, and will not accept them, because we Put America First, and ALWAYS WILL!"

Trump defeated Haley in Tuesday night's primary with 54% of total votes cast, leading the former United States ambassador by 11 points. The former president's Tuesday victory follows his dominating landslide in last week's Iowa caucus, leading fellow GOP candidates Ron DeSantis, who placed second, and Haley, who placed third by nearly 30 points.

On Sunday, DeSantis suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump for re-election.

Pundits and political leaders have questioned Haley's insistence on remaining in the race, noting the candidate had no viable path to securing the Republican nomination.

Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said it was time for Haley to "move forward" and acknowledge Trump would be the Republican nominee for president.

“This isn’t the RNC speaking, this isn’t the establishment speaking, this is the voters speaking,” McDaniel said during an interview following Tuesday's primary. “I think you have to reflect tonight if you’re on the Haley campaign and say, ‘If I’m not on the ballot in Nevada, if I’m not going to maybe win my home state, what’s the most important thing going forward?’ And every Republican has to agree that Joe Biden is a threat to our country.”

“I hope she reflects tonight. I think it’s time to move forward and I think Donald Trump is going to be the nominee,” she added.

Trump and Haley will face off in the upcoming Nevada primary on Feb. 8.
