The Make America Great Again PAC, which supports former President Donald Trump's run for reelection, has created a "2024 Vice Presidential Debate" website to troll Fox News and the other primary candidates.
Trump has announced that he will not attend the debate on Wednesday, which airs on Fox News. Instead, he will sit with the network's ousted former host Tucker Carlson for a one-on-one interview, assuredly drawing viewers away from the network's big event.
The “2024 Vice Presidential Debate” website features the eight candidates who have qualified to participate in the debate — Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Chris Christie, Tim Scott, Vivek Ramaswamy, Asa Hutchinson, Doug Burgum, and Mike Pence.
The website asks users to vote for who they want Trump to choose as his running mate.
At the time of publishing, Ramaswamy is currently winning by a massive 45 percent, with Christie in second place at 14 percent. DeSantis is tied with Pence for fourth place with nine percent after Scott, who has 13 percent.
The voting screen also includes short profiles of each candidate and a quote of them previously supporting Trump.
The website quotes DeSantis saying, “I think that Donald Trump has done a better job appointing judges to both the U.S. Supreme Court and the Appeals Court than any other president in my lifetime, including one of my heroes Ronald Reagan.” The comment was made in 2018 during his gubernatorial debate.
“Donald Trump has always put America first. He has earned four more years as President,” the website quotes Haley saying in 2020. A Fox employee tells me this site is banned from working on Fox computers. This is what pops up for Fox employees when they try to view the website, I am told: https://t.co/wtyCBdC5Ia pic.twitter.com/rh72DuyMXa
