Former President Donald Trump brutally mocked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over his high heeled boots during a rally in New Hampshire on Saturday.
DeSantis' campaign has been on edge over viral memes insisting that the governor is wearing lifts inside of his boots to make him appear taller.
Trump got into the boot scandal by mentioning last week's Republican primary debate, which he did not attend, saying that DeSantis was having difficulty moving around the stage because of his shoes.
“I’m not wearing lifts either, by the way. I don’t have six inch heels,” Trump told the audience. “Actually the greatest moment of the debate when Ron was walking around, Desanctimonious was, walking off the stage. And his feet. It’s weird because his cowboy boots, so they have a high heel outside. But inside you got a big deal going on and he’s walking away.” Omg Trump just did an impression of DeSantis walking in his 6" heels pic.twitter.com/xCZZxgK1t5

The Republican frontrunner drew massive laughs and applause from the crowd as he flailed his arms and pretended to walk like DeSantis.
“He’s walking off the stage like he’s trying to balance himself. I thought he was wearing ice skates. No, what difference does that make, Right? What difference when you think about it, what difference does that make,” Trump added.
Vivek Ramaswamy stole the show when he roasted both Nikki Haley and DeSantis as "Dick Cheney in three-inch heels" during last week's Republican presidential primary debate.
"You have the likes of Nikki Haley, who stepped down from her time at the U.N., bankrupt or in debt was her family," Ramaswamy said after being asked what sets him apart from other candidates. "Then she becomes a military contractor. She joins the board of Boeing and otherwise — and is now a multimillionaire. So, I think that that’s wrong when Republicans do it or Democrats do it."
"That’s the choice we face. Do you want a leader from a different generation who’s going to put this country first, or do you want Dick Cheney in three-inch heels? In which case, we’ve got two of them on stage tonight." The choice should be clear: We can elect a president who will keep us out of World War III or we can elect a Dick Cheney in 3-inch heels. Because there are two of them on stage with me tonight. @RonDeSantis @NikkiHaley pic.twitter.com/i21U4tErmU

DeSantis was also questioned about his height and footwear during a recent interview with Patrick Bet David, during which he insisted that he wears normal cowboy boots that are "off the rack."
The candidate addressed his controversial footwear during an appearance on Newsmax with host Eric Bolling earlier this month.
“There are these gotcha people, these people who just want to sit there and they want to talk about how tall you are, whether you’re wearing boots with heel extenders inside,” Bolling said. “The southern border is a disaster, terrorists are coming across the border. We got two wars that we’re kind of funding, and they want to talk about how tall you are.”
DeSantis continued, "This is no time for foot fetishes." WATCH: Ron DeSantis tells people who talk about his footwear “this is no time for foot fetishes”pic.twitter.com/KMv2p81UmX

"People want to try to divert on to other issues. I know Donald Trump and a lot of his people have been focusing on things like footwear," DeSantis said. "I’ll tell you this, if Donald Trump can summon the balls to show up to the debate, I’ll wear a boot on my head.”
