Adam Johnson, also known as "The Lectern Guy," has donated a miniature lectern for auction in support of fellow Jan. 6 participant Rebecca Lavrenz.
On Thursday, Lavrenz, also known as the "Praying Grandma" after being seen praying outside the Capitol, was convicted on four counts for entering the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, including entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a capitol; and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a capitol, according to a statement of facts. Lavrenz, 72, remained in the federal building for a total of 10 minutes and briefly spoke with one Capitol Police Officer prior to leaving.
Lavrenz faces federal misdemeanors up to $210,000 in fines and one year in prison for her presence at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Johnson, who went viral and became a meme after being pictured holding former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's lectern on Jan. 6, announced the charity auction on Thursday.
"[Lavrenz] was just convicted in a DC court for walking around in a public building and praying for our country," Johnson wrote to X. "Please do what you can. If you can't bid, share this post. Let's help her know she is not alone."
Former President Donald Trump threw support behind Lavrenz in a Friday Truth Social post.
"Rebecca Lavrez, also known as the 'J6 Praying Grandma,' has been unfairly targeted by Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, and now faces up to 1 YEAR in prison for peacefully walking around the Capitol, and praying for our Failing Nation on January 6th!" Trump wrote. "Rebecca is a 72-year-old Grandmother and Small Business Owner from Colorado, and now she is one of Joe Biden’s J6 HOSTAGES!!! Crooked Joe Biden spends more time prosecuting Patriots like Rebecca, AND ME, than Violent Criminals, Thugs, Murderers, and ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS who are destroying our Country."
"THIS IS WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST. MAGA2024!" Trump concluded.
Last September, Johnson donated ten miniature lecterns in support of imprisoned J6ers.
The miniature lecterns are modeled after Pelosi’s and include a seal featuring a silhouette of Johnson holding the former Speaker’s lectern with the phrase “Take a Stand.”
Last month, Johnson donated a miniature lectern for auction to assist fellow Jan. 6 participant Jay Johnston, his fiancée Sara Radovanovitch and their family.
The auction raised a total of $561.51.
Lavrenz's GiveSendGo has currently raised over $67,000 as of Friday afternoon.
