Jerry Seinfeld took on an anti-Israel, pro-Palestine heckler after he was interrupted during a weekend performance in Australia.
As Seinfeld performed his Saturday stand-up routine at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, one heckler interrupted the show shouting, "You support genocide!"
“Oh, you’re back. They’re back! The protesters are back! I’ve missed you!” Seinfeld told the heckler as the crowd booed. “Oh, you’re not doing well. It’s so hard for you."
The comedian told the heckler they were both in the business of convincing people to see things from their perspective.
“The problem is you’re in the wrong place," Seinfeld said. "You hear how well I’m doing? This is what you want. You want to do well, like I am, looking at the people here to hear me, look at what happened to you.”
Seinfeld said context was important for their message, saying he himself would similarly be met with poor response if he tried performing his stand-up routine during a sporting event. “I think you need to go back and tell who’s ever running your organization, 'We just gave more money to a Jew,'” Seinfeld later added. “That cannot be a good plan for you. That’s not what you want! That’s the whole problem! You got to come up with a better plan.”
Earlier this month, Seinfeld went toe-to-toe with another pro-Palestine heckler during a performance at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

“It’s a comedy show, you moron!” Seinfeld added. “Get out of here.”
While being escorted from the venue by security, the heckler repeated a slogan often used by pro-Palestinian and anti-Zionist activists: "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."
