A large crowd of pro-Palestinians protested outside a fundraiser for President Joe Biden at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Thursday.
The fundraiser, hosted by late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert, featured Biden along with former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Attendees paid a range of several hundred dollars per ticket to $500,000 for admission. Photos with Biden, Obama, and Clinton cost $100,000, and a total of approximately $25 million in total was raised for the event, per The New York Post.
Outside the venue, the "Flood Manhattan for Gaza" protest featured demonstrators waving signs and chanting "Genocide Joe has got to go!"
Protestors also chanted a frequently used slogan amongst pro-Palestinian and anti-Zionist supporters, stating, "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."
At several points throughout the demonstration, protestors became aggressive and some engaged in assault of one man.
The man claimed to be on his way to see his dying mother and complained that protestors were blocking his path. As the man attempted to make his way through the crowd, several began pushing the man back.
Other protestors shouted "F--- Fox News!" at reporter Nate Foy who was covering the fundraiser and demonstration.
"Get a real job!" protestors shouted at the Fox reporter.
As Foy left the crowd, protestors continued throwing a barrage of insults towards Foy and Fox News.
During the fundraiser, one protestor shouted at Biden from the crowd, "Shame on you Joe Biden!"
"You are forcing genocide on Palestine, and no amount of faux concern that you do will change the billions that you are doing!" she shouted as security escorted her out of the event. "There's blood on your hands!"
Protestors heckled attendees as they left the event, informing them they would not support Biden's re-election efforts.
"Enjoy Trump, 'cause we're never voting for Biden," said one protestor, who repeatedly told attendees their funds went toward "dead babies."
The Biden administration has come under intense scrutiny by pro-Palestinian and anti-Zionist activists as the president has signaled his support for Israel amidst their nearly six-month military conflict in the Middle East.
However, Biden and his administration have recently signaled a transition in their stance in favor of Palestinians. During Biden's State of the Union address earlier this month, the president delivered a direct message to Israel.
“To the leadership of Israel, I say this: humanitarian assistance cannot be a secondary consideration or a bargaining chip," Biden said. "Protecting and saving innocent lives has to be a priority.”
