Police Identify Suspect in Trump's Virginia Campaign Office Burglary

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has announced a suspect in the burglary of former President Donald Trump's Virginia campaign office on Sunday.

The sheriff’s office has secured a warrant for the arrest of Toby Shane Kessler, 39.

Kessler has no known address and has not been apprehended at this time.

The break-in occurred at the Trump for President 2024 campaign office in Ashburn, which also serves as the headquarters of the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee.

According to a press release from the sheriff's office, "The burglary occurred at approximately 8:11 pm and was captured by surveillance video inside the office. The LCSO’s investigation determined that Mr. Kessler forced entry into a back door of the location and spent a brief period of time inside before leaving. He appears to have left nothing behind, and it is still unclear what, if anything, he took with him. The investigation is ongoing."

The motive remains unknown as the suspect has not been apprehended.

The sheriff's office is working with other law enforcement agencies to try to locate Kessler and is also seeking assistance from the public.

"He is a white adult male, and was wearing dark clothing, a dark cap, and a backpack when he entered the location," the press release states. "Mr. Kessler has a history of criminal behavior and appears to have been in the Washington metropolitan area at least since 2018. He has a California identification."
