Among the names include Epstein’s friends, recruiters, and victims. The majority of the individuals named in U.S. District Judge Loretta A. Preska’s 51-page court order raised no objections to their information being unsealed, as much of it is already publicly available, is not salacious, and their connection to Epstein has already been reported in the media, the document states. Names and identifying information for 10 “Does” will remain sealed, as those individuals are alleged minor victims of sex abuse who have not spoken publicly and have maintained their privacy, Preska wrote. The material included in the upcoming release may include email communications, depositions, documents and other items not previously made public. Preska ordered the names unsealed in connection with a defamation case brought by Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Roberts Guiffre against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend who was is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex crimes. The judge allowed 14 days for any “Doe” to appeal the ruling. Both Epstein and Maxwell were convicted of crimes related to trafficking underage victims, but, so far, there have been no high-profile arrests of any of their clients. Recent allegations have suggested the client list is being withheld because those with the authority to release it are being blackmailed. New materials in connection with the illicit sex trafficking network could re-ignite public interest in the topic, as many have alleged the operation itself was a blackmail scheme designed to compromise rich and powerful individuals. Israeli spy Ari Ben-Menashe said in a book released in 2020 that Epstein and Maxwell were Israeli spies who used underage girls to blackmail politicians into providing information to Israel. “See, f—king around is not a crime. It could be embarrassing, but it’s not a crime,” Menashe wrote in the book. “But f—king a fourteen-year-old girl is a crime. And he was taking photos of politicians f—king fourteen-year-old girls—if you want to get it straight…They [Epstein and Maxwell] would just blackmail people like that.” The book also speculated that the pair may have worked for other governments as double or triple agents.A judge has ruled to unseal court documents naming 177 individuals who were connected to the global sex trafficking network of Jeffrey Epstein.
