Oilers Fan Who Flashed Crowd During Playoff Game Speaks Out

A female Oilers fan who went viral after flashing the crowd during the third round of the NHL playoffs has responded to critics in a new video.

During the Oiler's final game against the Dallas Stars earlier this month, a female fan was recorded flashing the crowd as fans cheered the team on. The woman's identity, which remained unknown for some time, was later revealed bu her first name, Kate, during a June 9 episode of Barstool Sports' podcast Spittin' Chiclets, hosted by Brian "Rear Admiral" McGonagle, along with former NHL player Paul Bissonnette and Ryan Whitney.

Kate responded to critics in a Monday video shared to social media.

"I thought long and hard what I wanted to say to everybody," Kate said. "I just wanted to say, you could be the most perfect, godly f---ing person in the world. You could save kittens from the river if they were drowning. Someone’s still going to hate you."

"So you know what? At the end of the day, I got drunk and whipped my t--s out at an Oilers game, and they went viral?" she continued. "F--- you if you don’t like it."

Kate ended the video shouting: "Woo! Go Oilers!"

During her Spittin' Chiclets appearance, Kate was introduced as "the most mysterious woman in hockey" and said she was "still trying to be in the witness relocation program."

Kate cited the "handful of cheesies" she ate throughout the day and eight Trulys which were consumed during the first period as her inspiration to flash the crowd.

"We were just all like going crazy," Kate said. "It wasn't like planned or anything ... it just kinda happened."

Kate said she saw the video going viral on X later that same night and reported the post for removal.

"I was like, 'Okay, it's gone. We dealt with it,'" she said. "Then Friday night, it like came back with a vengeance."

She confirmed the video was recorded by someone she did not know.

Whitney joked that her viral moment could give the Oilers something to "grab ahold of" to lead them to win the Stanley Cup.

The Florida Panthers took a three-game lead over the Oilers in a best-of-seven final round of the playoffs, though the Oilers secured their first win during game four on Saturday in Edmonton scoring 8-1 over the Panthers. Game 5 is scheduled for tonight at 8 p.m. EST at the Amerant Bank Arena in Florida.
