Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley took aim at opponent Donald Trump during an appearance on long-running NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL).
During the program's cold-opening sketch, the cast mocked a CNN town hall with Trump as veteran SNL cast member Kenan Thompson, who played the outlet's Charles Barkley, fielded a question from Haley, who played a "concerned South Carolina voter" in the audience.
"My question is: Why won't you debate Nikki Haley?" she asked Trump, who was played by SNL's James Austin Johnson.
"Oh my God, it's her! The woman who was in charge of security on January 6th!" Johnson's Trump exclaimed. "It's Nancy Pelosi!"
Thompson responded, "For the hundredth time, that is not Nancy Pelosi. It is Nikki Haley."
Haley then asked Trump if he's okay and suggested he may need a "mental competency test."
"You know what, I did. I took the test and I aced it, okay?" Johnson replied as Trump. "Perfect score. They said I'm 100% mental, and you know, I'm competent because I'm a man."
He continued, "That's why a woman should never run our economy."
"In fact, a woman I know recently asked me for $83.3 million," Trump added in reference to the former president's recent defamation lawsuit with writer E. Jean Carroll.
Haley noted Trump's mounting legal fees and asked if he needed to borrow money.
Johnson's Trump mocks Haley's name and referred to director M. Night Shyamalan's 1999 film The Sixth Sense saying, "I see dead people."
"That's what voters will say if they see you and Joe on the ballot," Haley said as the audience laughed.
"That's not very nice, Nikki," Johnson's Trump responded. "I'm always very nice to you, except when I'm implying you weren't born in this country."
Johnson's Trump told Haley he would defeat her in her home state of South Carolina's upcoming primary.
Haley countered the remark by asking if Trump won his home state in previous elections.
“I won Staten Island and the part of Long Island where the fist fights happen; where they get out the cars if you honk at them. I love my world star whites,” he said.
"Had a blast tonight on SNL! Know it was past Donald’s bedtime so looking forward to the stream of unhinged tweets in the A.M.," Haley wrote in an early Sunday X post.
The sketch closed with The Bear star Ayo Edebiri asking Haley about "main cause of the Civil War."
"Do you think it starts with an 'S,' and ends with a 'lavery'?" she said.
"Yeah, but probably should have said that the first time," Haley responded in reference to her infamous late-December remark before opening the program.
Haley is Trump's final remaining competitor for the Republican nomination.
The former president handily defeated Haley in the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary in January.
Trump and Haley will face off in the Nevada primary on Thursday.
