Within 24 hours of its launch, Rippaverse's latest comic series Yaira #1 has surpassed $1 million in sales.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Yaira #1 has sold just under 12,000 books since its campaign launched, more than tripling its pre-order sales goal.
"Yaira has done it! The First Lady of The Rippaverse has sent Isom's record time of crossing $1,000,000 CRASHING into a taxi in 24 HOURS!" Rippaverse wrote Tuesday. "What an incredible start to a campaign that everyone involved put their blood, sweat, and tears into. Thank you!"
Yaira #1 is written by Jen and Sylvia Soska, also known as The Soska Sisters. The two have written and directed several horror films including On the Edge, American Mary, and Dead Hooker in a Trunk.
The Soska Sisters, who notably directed See No Evil 2 and Vendetta for WWE Studios, have previously written for Marvel comics.
In promotion of their latest campaign, Rippaverse also released their first live-action trailer for Yaira #1.

"Waking up to discover that the YAIRA campaign has not only hit the ONE MILLION DOLLAR mark in its first day, but also broken ISOM #1’s record is the most wonderful way to wake up," wrote The Soska Sisters in an X post. "What a feeling. THANK YOU to everyone who made a purchase or spread the word by reposting, posting, commenting, or even sharing our first Rippaverse Live Action trailer!!"
"It’s a privilege to get to write YAIRA and you’ve made all the blood, sweat, and tears we’ve put into the book and work really matter," they continued. "Thank you more than a simple post can express. Your support means everything to us. We’ve unlocked TONS of BENCHMARKS and next up at 1.5 MIL will be FUTURE LIVE ACTIONS and after that— the YAIRA STATUE!! If this is where we started, I’m so excited to see where this campaign will take us."
"The Rippaverse is powered by THE FANS. Thank you for making this all possible," The Soska Sisters added.
Along with Yaira #1, Rippaverse also launched the company's first magazine dubbed "Rippazine" featuring exclusive interviews, columns, and other news surrounding the company and its comics.
The first issue of Rippazine features a 13-page story titled "Salvage, P.I.," written by Rippaverse founder Eric July and Bart Sears.
Rippaverse launched in 2022 with its debut comic Isom #1, which garnered over $3.7 million in sales during its initial preorder campaign. Isom #2 was later launched last June, followed by the company's second series Alphacore #1 in November.
Last June, July announced a charity partnership encouraging customers to donate copies of Isom #2 to ComicBooks for Kids (CB4K) at half-price. Shortly after the announcement, Rippaverse also began offering copies of Isom #1 for customers to purchase donations. Over 2,200 books were donated to CB4K.
Upon their launch, Rippaverse released a code of ethics for their customers in which the company vowed to respect the customer, respect the story canon and continuity, along with providing a comprehensive timeline.
The code of ethics is designed to address the politicization of legacy comic book companies along with a saturation of multiverse storylines and retroactive continuity changes (retcon).
