The majority of Democrat voters want someone to challenge President Joe Biden for the 2024 nomination.
A new Yahoo News/YouGov survey found that 54 percent of Democrats want another option to primary the president.
Just 28 percent of Democrat voters said that they do not want Biden to be challenged and another 18 percent said that they are unsure.
Younger voters made up the majority of those who want to see him primaried, with 70 percent of those 18-29 saying so. A 61 percent majority of people between the ages of 30-44 agreed.
The number dwindled through the age groups, with 43 percent of those 65 and over wanting to see a Democrat challenge Biden.
However, Biden still had a large lead when asked who people would vote for in the primary, with 64 percent saying he has their support. Current challengers, Marianne Williamson and Rep. Dean Phillips, both have just four percent support. Another 26 percent said that they were unsure and two percent said that they will not vote.
"When asked about Biden’s age, 73 percent of Democrats said it was a problem when it came to his fitness for the presidency. Biden, who is turning 81 next week, is the oldest president to serve in U.S. history," The Hill reports. "Thirty-eight percent of Democrats also said they were very or somewhat concerned about Biden’s health and mental acuity."
The report added, "Former President Trump has a narrow 2-point lead over Biden when voters were asked who they would vote for in a hypothetical match-up; 44 percent of respondents said they would vote for Trump, 42 percent selected Biden, 9 percent said they were unsure and 5 percent said they wouldn’t vote.

“Are you considering running for president?” host Kristen Welker asked.
“I will do anything I can to help my country, and you’re saying, ‘Does that mean you would consider it?’ Absolutely. Every American should consider it if they’re in a position to help save the country,” Manchin replied.
Manchin said that he is “totally, absolutely scared to death” of former President Donald Trump winning a second term. The Republican primary frontrunner currently leads Biden in the polls.
The senator said that he is afraid Biden has been “pushed too far to the left.”
The pollsters surveyed 1,584 adults between Nov. 9-13. Their results have a margin of error of 2.8 percentage points.
