The 43-year-old fashion mogul posted a photo on Instagram from inside of her closet showcasing a new Balenciaga bag that has made a return after its first launch more than 20 years ago. Kardashian, now a brand ambassador for the luxury couture company, said in the video that she has 130 Balenciaga bags, which can be seen behind her. After announcing a return to the brand, she issued a statement. "For several years now, Balenciaga’s designs have been a part of my many looks – and some of my most iconic fashion moments,” she said. “This historic fashion house embraces modernity, craftsmanship and takes an innovative approach to design under Demna. For me, this long-standing relationship is built on mutual trust and a commitment to doing what’s right.” The reality star added, “I’m excited about this next chapter for the brand and to become their ambassador.”Kim Kardashian is facing fierce backlash after announcing she is partnering with fashion house Balenciaga.
News of the partnership came just over a year after controversy ensued over a Balenciaga advertising campaign that appeared to show images sexualizing children and depict satanic themes. “I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened,” Kardashian said at the time. “As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period,” she added.

After her brand ambassadorship was revealed, Kardashian faced sharp criticism. “The same brand that sexualized children, we just supposed to forget about that?” a social media user by the name Jelani posted. “So the child p*rnography scandal is over and it’s back to business as usual?” another commenter wrote. “No integrity. No morals. Stand for nothing. How it went from denoucing the brand, relinquishing your involvement to now being the brand ambassador,” another person wrote.
