Country superstar Jason Aldean is speaking out against the prosecution of former President Donald Trump.
Trump was found guilty on Thursday of 34 felonies related to him allegedly falsifying business records by a New York jury.
On Instagram, Aldean reacted by posting an upside-down American flag, a sign of the country being in distress or danger.
“Scary times in our country right now, man,” Aldean wrote. “When a former POTUS gets treated like this by our justice system, what does that mean for the rest of us??? If there was ever a time to speak up, IT’S NOW! Make no mistake… We are in trouble.”
The singer's wife, Brittany Aldean, also posted her support for the president and announced that she is selling t-shirts and other merchandise to benefit the Trump campaign.
"No time like the present to rally the troops in support of The People’s President! Now is the time to speak up or we may lose our country as we know it forever to this corrupt administration!" she wrote in a post on Instagram.
In her stories, she featured her husband wearing one of the "Free Trump" shirts and upside down flag hat.
In another post, Brittany Aldean posted a photo of her and her husband with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
"WE LOVE YOU!" she wrote in the caption, tagging the former president. "The ones with a brain can see through the smear campaign." She also used the hashtag #FJB, which stands for "f-ck Joe Biden."
As SCNR previously reported, the Trump campaign brought in $34.8 million in donations in ten hours after the verdict was announced, according to a statement emailed by campaign senior advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles. The amount nearly doubled the previous fundraising record.
“Not only was the amount historic, but 29.7 percent of yesterday's donors were brand new donors to the WinRed platform,” the campaign said.
Aldean released a song called "Try That in a Small Town" last summer and drew controversy over the music video, which many claimed was critical of the Black Lives Matter movement due to the riot footage that he used.
While the left attempted to "cancel" him for the song, conservatives drove it to the top of the charts.
