'I Hope It Continues': Michael Moore Calls For Students To Occupy More University Buildings

Filmmaker Michael Moore encouraged rioting students and other agitators to occupy more buildings at universities across the country.

For nearly a month, universities across the country have been plagued by unprecedented pro-Palestinian and anti-Jewish protests, some of which have devolved into full-scale riots with some buildings, including Columbia University's Hamilton Hall, being occupied by rioters.

Moore made his remarks during a Monday episode of his podcast, Rumble.

“When I’m talking about nonviolent, I’m talking about you do have the right to take over the administration building,” Moore said, adding students taking over buildings on campus did not equate with violent behavior.

“I hope it continues,” Moore continued. “I applaud every student who has taken a stand at their campus, at graduation, whatever. This is the purpose of a democracy.”

Moore went on to take issue with New York City Mayor Eric Adams' reference to non-student rioters as "outside agitators"

“It’s such a joke,” Moore said. “There’s no such thing as an outside agitator because these schools live in the communities. They exist in the communities. They participate in the communities.”

“If you haven’t started an encampment at your college, do it!” he added. “Take a stand.”

During the episode, Moore interviewed an activist protester who noted the point of campus takeovers were to cause "disruption."

“There’s the misconception that we’re disrupting. That’s the point,” the activist said. “We’re here to disrupt. Like, thank you for saying we’re disrupting because that’s the truth.”

“We’re here to disrupt your daily lives,” the activist continued. “We’re here to show you the urgency.”

The filmmaker then warned of President Joe Biden's waning chances of being re-elected this November over his support for Israel.

“We’ve got a president who doesn’t seem to have a clue in his head,” Moore said, urging Biden to "pull the plug" on his support for Israel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Moore previously warned of Biden's odds at securing re-election last week during an interview with CNN's Kaitlan Collins.

“I wanted to say this on your show tonight that his chance of not being re-elected, I think, at this point, is so great, because of those numbers. Because he’s losing the youth vote. He’s lost the Arab American vote in Michigan,” Moore said, noting Biden's loss of voters who have flipped to "uncommitted" in the Democratic primary. “I am fighting to make sure that doesn’t happen. I am trying to save Joe Biden.”
