Hunter Biden Files Lawsuit Against Rudy Giuliani Over Laptop, Claims He Was 'Hacked'

The president's son, Hunter Biden, has filed a lawsuit against former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani over his infamous laptop contents.

According to Biden's lawyer, there was no laptop left at a computer repair shop, and the data was obtained from an "external drive."

The lawsuit claims that Biden was the victim of a hacking and that his privacy rights were violated by Giuliani disseminating the material.

Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the complaint claims that the former New York City mayor is "primarily responsible" for the "total annihilation" of Biden's digital privacy. according to a report from Fox News.

Robert Costello, a former federal prosecutor who previously represented Giuliani, is also named in the lawsuit.

"For the past many months and even years, Defendants have dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and energy toward looking for, hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen from Plaintiff's devices or storage platforms, including what Defendants claim to have obtained from Plaintiff's alleged ‘laptop’ computer," Biden's attorneys wrote, asserting that the data did not come from a "laptop," but from an "external drive."

Information from Biden's data was first published and reported on by the New York Post in 2020. The report implicated President Joe Biden and his son in a shady business deal with Burisma, a Ukranian energy company that had hired Hunter to serve on its board.

"Hunter Biden has previously refused to admit ownership of the laptop. I'm not surprised he's now falsely claiming his laptop hard drive was manipulated by Mayor Giuliani, considering the sordid material and potential evidence of crimes on that thing," Ted Goodman, a Giuliani advisor, told Fox News.

President Biden has denied any involvement in his son's business dealings, but has admitted to getting a Ukranian prosecutor fired after he began looking into Burisma.

The lawsuit is seeking a court order to stop Giuliani and others from "accessing, tampering with, manipulating or copying Biden's data" and to return the hard drive and any backup copies.

Hunter Biden also sued former Trump aide Garrett Ziegler earlier this month for spreading "tens of thousands of emails, thousands of photos, and dozens of videos and recordings" that were "pornographic" and obtained from the device.

The president's son has also sued Wilmington, Delaware, computer repair shop owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, who claims that Hunter did not return for the laptop until three months after he originally dropped it off with him. He claims that he had taken the device to the FBI after seeing information about Joe Biden's business dealings and photos of his son with what appears to be many prostitutes. He later provided a copy to Giuliani.

Hunter Biden is currently facing two misdemeanor tax charges and one felony gun charge, all of which he has pleaded "not guilty" to.
