Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz agreed with Fox News' Kayleigh McEnany's suggestion that Congress should censure Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib regarding her comments on the alleged hospital bombing by Israel.
Moskowitz appeared on Fox News' Outnumbered hosted by McEnany, who referenced previous comments from Tlaib regarding the recent bombing in the parking lot of a hospital in the Gaza Strip.
“Media outlets and third-party analysts have raised doubts about claims and evidence offered by both Israel and the Gaza Ministry of Health," Tlaib said of the incident. "I agree with the United Nations that an independent investigation is necessary.”
McEnany asked Moskowitz if fellow House Democrats throwing blame towards Israel for the bombing should receive "some sort of punishment."
"Congress is unified in its support of Israel," Moskowitz responded. "I continue to be disappointed in members of Congress who are not willing to listen to U.S. intelligence and listen to the Biden administration, who have said Israel had nothing to do with the issue that happened in the parking lot of the hospital. Let’s remember, the hospital wasn’t hit. The hospital is still there. It’s the parking lot of the hospital.”
The Florida representative also criticized other reports which claimed over 500 people died in the alleged hospital bombing and said, "There's no proof of that."
"All of those things have turned out to be inaccurate. U.S. intelligence is saying that," Moskowitz added. "And any member of Congress who continues to trust Hamas’s information over U.S. information is obviously deeply concerning.”
McEnany referenced Congress' ability to "punish, censure, [and] reprimand" fellow lawmakers and asked if that was an avenue Congress should consider for any member "[propagating] terrorist talking points."
"I think once we get a House speaker here, I think that censure resolution will come to the floor. And I do think it’s something that everyone should consider,” Moskowitz replied. “This is about U.S. intelligence. This is about U.S. information. This is about not willing to trust the Biden administration and U.S. intelligence, but instead continuing to pretend like the Ministry of Health out of Gaza is nothing other than a terrorist organization telling people what we want to hear. We just heard the leader of Hamas talking about genocide. I mean, good God, it is propaganda to the tenth degree. And people have to stop buying it and they have to listen to the facts.”
McEnany agreed, noting several outlets were "propelling" propaganda.
“It’s been disgusting, what happened in that hospital issue with the media was disgusting, it exposed all sorts of anti-Semitism,” Moskowitz said. “I guess we can dispel with the lie Jews control the media."
Moskowitz concluded by suggesting there was a "double standard" regarding Israel "because people are anti-Semitic in the world."
Last week, Tlaib shared a post to X pushing the reportedly false story of the hospital bombing.
"Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that," Tlaib wrote before taking aim at President Joe Biden's aversion to "facilitate" a ceasefire from Israel.
"Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me," she added. "We will remember where you stood."
Tlaib's post received a community note from X noting the explosion appeared to come from Palestinian territory and was "most likely" caused by a part of the rocket crashing to the ground.
Other community notes on similar posts regarding the hospital bombing clarified that the explosion occurred in a car park and did not appear to have demolished surrounding buildings.
