Hillary Clinton Appears To Compare Trump With Hitler In D-Day Post

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton appeared to compare former President Donald Trump with Adolf Hitler.

Clinton made her comparison in a Thursday post on X commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day

"Eighty years ago today, thousands of brave Americans fought to protect democracy on the shores of Normandy," Clinton wrote. "This November, all we have to do is vote."

The post has no replies as Clinton appears to have limited responses to those she follows or mentions in her X posts, though other users quoted her post.

The Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro said Clinton's post was "enormously stupid" and "vile."

"Trump is not Hitler. And voting is not storming a beach under a hail of machine-gun fire to free millions from the tyranny of the Nazis," Shapiro wrote.

"Turn on your replies, you coward!" wrote All That Remains lead singer and Timcast associate Phil LaBonte.

"In 2016 you attempted to undo everything they fought for by partnering with Fusion GPS to launder discredited oppo in the press, and merchandise it into surveillance warrants on enemies through FISA. Were my WWII vet grandparents alive today they’d slam this," wrote conservative radio personality Dana Loesch.

Veteran and former 2020 candidate for Pennsylvania's 17th congressional district Sean Parnell also took issue with Clinton's post.

“Holy s--- I despise these people,” wrote Parnell, a former Army Ranger. “It’s impossible to capture just how loathsome a comment this is."

"To cheapen what WWII heroes did to BS garbage politics makes me sick. Again, WWII veterans deserve so much better than this," he added.

Clinton, like many critics of the former president, has frequently compared Trump to the Nazi Germany dictator.

During a November broadcast of ABC's The View, Clinton said the thought of Trump's re-election was "almost unimaginable."

"I can’t even think that because I think it would be the end of our country as we know it,” Clinton replied. “And I don’t say that lightly.”

Clinton then took issue with the process of the 2016 presidential election, in which Trump shockingly defeated Clinton, before praising Nazi Germany's election of Hitler.

"Hitler was duly elected!” Clinton exclaimed. “And so all of a sudden, somebody with those ... dictatorial authoritarian tendencies would be like, 'Oh, okay, we’re going to shut this down. We’re going to throw these people in jail.' They didn’t usually telegraph that. Trump is telling us what he intends to do!”
