Former Google and Meta Engineer Believed to Have Killed Wife and Two Children in Murder-Suicide

A former Google and Meta engineer, his wife, and two four-year-old twin sons have been found dead in what is believed to have been a murder-suicide.

The entire family was found dead in their 2.1 million California home on Tuesday.

Anand Sujith Henry, 37, is believed to have killed his children, Noah and Neithan, before shooting his wife, Alice Berzinger, while she was in the bathtub — then turning the gun on himself.

The children's causes of death have not been released, but law enforcement believes that they were either smothered, strangled, or overdosed, as there were no apparent traumatic injuries.

"Former Google & Meta employee Anand and Zillow data manager Alice had lived in their home since 2020, and police confirmed they had been called to the residence a number of times but didn't divulge the reasons," RT India reports.

According to a report from OANN, the San Mateo Police Department said the bodies of the couple were found next to a 9mm pistol and a loaded magazine in the bathroom.

Police are treating the deaths as a murder-suicide and noted that there was no sign of forced entry.

“Based on the information we have at this time, this appears to be an isolated incident with no danger to the public, as we are confident the person responsible was located within the home,” San Mateo police said in a statement. “This investigation continues as detectives work to gather evidence, speak to witnesses and family members and determine a possible motive.”

Police had been previously called to the home, but details on the reason for the calls have not been released.

"According to court records, Henry, who was a former software engineering manager at both Meta and Google, filed for divorce from Benizinger in December 2016," the OANN report says. "However, the divorce never materialized, and the couple moved in to the San Mateo home in 2020, where they would go on to raise their two children."
