Former Fox News Producer Drops Lawsuit Alleging Coercion

Amy Grossberg Will Reportedly Refile Her Case In A Different Jurisdiction 'In The Coming Weeks'

Former Fox News Producer Drops Lawsuit Alleging Coercion

Former Fox News producer Amy Grossberg dropped one of her lawsuits against the outlet on Friday in Delaware Superior Court.

Grossberg, who previously worked for Maria Bartiromo and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, claimed the outlet coerced her into lying in a deposition regarding their case against Dominion Voting Systems.

“Fox would be mistaken in viewing our client’s voluntary dismissal of her civil conspiracy claims as a retreat from those claims,” said Grossberg's attorney Parisis G. Filippatos, claiming his client would refile her lawsuit in a different jurisdiction "in the coming weeks," per the New York Times.

“We have often stated in public that we believe Abby Grossberg’s claims surrounding her coerced testimony in the Dominion case from the essential connective tissue between Fox’s misconduct in that case and the case being adjudicated by Smartmatic in New York, where it is seeking $2.7 billion in damages for very similar misconduct by Fox.”

"The assertion that Ms. Grossberg was coached or intimidated into being dishonest during her Dominion deposition is patently false," said one Fox News spokeswoman who contested Grossberg's claim. "We will continue to vigorously defend Fox against her unmeritorious legal claims, which are riddled with false allegations against the network and our employees."

Grossberg's second lawsuit against the outlet, which alleged Carlson created a "toxic" and "misogynistic" work environment, is currently pending. The former producer further claimed she was bullied and subjected to antisemitic comments after being placed on Tucker Carlson Tonight.

However, one former Fox News employee countered Grossberg’s claims by noting the former producer never met Carlson. Grossberg reportedly worked out of Fox News’ New York City office while the former host worked from his home studios in Maine and Florida, according to journalist Greg Price.

Grossberg was also reportedly a “severely underperforming employee and not competent with her work,” according to Price’s source who claimed the former producer began complaining about her experience with Carlson and Fox after learning she may be fired for her negative performance reviews.

“She set out to be a victim,” the person said.

“Fox could not find a single employee willing to corroborate any of her claims or characterizations,” said one source involved in the investigation, per Price.

Fox News abruptly announced the outlet and Carlson had "agreed to part ways" on April 24.

Shortly after the former host's departure from Fox News, reports emerged suggesting Carlson's ousting came directly from Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch. The outlet founder was reportedly "concerned" with Carlson's reporting of the Capitol riot on Jan. 6 2021.
