Former President Donald Trump has said that he would consider choosing Tucker Carlson to be his running mate if he is the 2024 presidential nominee.
Trump discussed the potential pick during an appearance on “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show” this week.
“I like Tucker a lot; I guess I would,” Trump said. “I think I’d say I would, because he’s got great common sense.” Trump: I would consider Tucker Carlson as my running mate pic.twitter.com/UHd0pIBvXq

“You know, when they say that you guys are conservative, or I’m conservative — it’s not that we’re conservative, we have common sense. We want to have safe borders. We want to have a wall, because walls work,” Trump continued.
Carlson was abruptly pulled off the air by Fox News in April, despite being the network's most popular personality — by far. He now has his own wildly popular show on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, called Tucker on X. He visited WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange in Belmarsh prison last week.
