Don Lemon Says He Listens To Ben Shapiro, Patrick Bet-David

Former CNN host Don Lemon said he has expanded his consumption of streaming content to include alternative media and conservative personalities like The Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro.

Lemon revealed his latest tastes in Puck News' 2023 holiday guide.

"Since leaving corporate media I cut the cord," Lemon told the outlet, noting he has an "extensive, eclectic streaming palate now."

The former CNN host said he has enjoyed watching Showtime's Fellow Travelers, along with the "very conservative" PBD Podcast hosted by Patrick Bet-David. Lemon said he also has been listening to The Ben Shapiro Show because he wants to hear The Daily Wire host's take on Israel amidst their conflict with Palestinians in the middle east.

Lemon also said he has been watching fellow former CNN host Piers Morgan's show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, for his "very real, authentic conversations," along with other podcasts including Pod Save AmericaThe DailySmartless, and The Adam Friedland Show.

Lemon was terminated from CNN after a 17-year tenure with the outlet in April, saying he was "stunned" by the news.

“I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN,” Lemon wrote to X, then Twitter. “I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly.”

“At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play,” Lemon continued. “With that said, I want to thank my colleagues and the many teams I have worked with for an incredible run. They are the most talented journalists in the business, and I wish them all the best.”

Senior media reporter for CNN Oliver Darcy confirmed Lemon’s ousting with a screenshot from then-CNN chairman and CEO Chris Licht’s letter to the company.

Lemon hosted Don Lemon Tonight from 2014 to 2022 before hosting CNN This Morning with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins.

Lemon's ousting followed former Fox News host Tucker Carlson's termination from his outlet on the same day.

Shortly after his ousting from Fox News, Carlson began hosting Tucker on Twitter, later changed to Tucker on X after Twitter's rebranding. X owner and tech mogul Elon Musk noted Carlson had no contract with the platform, though extended an offer for Lemon to host a show on X several weeks after his termination.

On Monday, Carlson announced the launch of his own streaming service, Tucker Carlson Network (TCN), which will feature some content originally shown on X.
