Dershowitz Responds To His Appearance In Epstein Court Documents

The lawyer criticized the #MeToo movement and radical feminists who came out against Epstein but failed to condemn Hamas

Dershowitz Responds To His Appearance In Epstein Court Documents

Alan Dershowitz, a former lawyer for Jeffrey Epstein, responded to his appearance in the unsealed Epstein court documents on Wednesday.

Dershowitz's name appeared in the documents over 100 times, was described as a "close friend of Epstein's," and had reportedly engaged in sexual activity with a minor per his then-client's demand on "numerous occasions" in Florida and private planes in New York, New Mexico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Along with his alleged sexual activity with a minor, Dershowitz was also privy to other sexual abuse of minors by Epstein and other co-conspirators, according to the documents.

On Wednesday evening, the lawyer spoke with Fox News' Sean Hannity about his appearance and allegations within the unsealed court documents.

"The woman who accused me has now stated categorically that she may have misidentified me," the lawyer said in reference to Virginia Giuffre, who dropped her defamation suit against Dershowitz in November 2022. "If all the documents are revealed ... [they] will prove categorically that she did misidentify me."

Dershowitz said he could corroborate his innocence with independent travel records and television appearances.

"I can prove that I couldn't possibly have been anywhere near any of the people who were involved in this," he added.

The lawyer said he "of course" flew with his client to meetings with U.S. and state attorneys.

"People have to be very careful about what they're believing and when it happened," Dershowitz said.

Although he ended his personal association with his client, Dershowitz said he maintained a legal relationship with Epstein.

"I've represented some of the worst people in the world, and continue to do so," the lawyer said. "That's my life."

Dershowitz transitioned to the #MeToo movement and radical feminists' response to the sexual assault of Jewish women and minors by Islamic militant group Hamas.

"They are silent. They are quiet," Dershowitz said, becoming agitated. "The incredible hypocrisy of the MeToo movement."

"MeToo, except if you're a Jew," he added.

The lawyer said he wanted a "list" of radical feminists pushing for the release of Epstein's associates and clients to note which of them had "condemned" Hamas for their rapes and murders of Jewish women and girls.

"How many have been silent, and how many in the National Lawyers Guild have actually approved of what Hamas did?" he continued.

Dershowitz said he was "thrilled" the court documents had been released, believing they would "exculpate" him, though expressed concern some documents may be withheld by Judge Loretta A Preska, who ordered the documents to be unsealed.

Hannity noted he had known Dershowitz "for years" and believed the lawyer deserved the presumption of innocence, though said he didn't know why the lawyer insisted on taking on high-profile clients. Dershowitz conceded he regretted having met Epstein, though said he would represent "far worse people."
