Caitlyn Jenner revealed that a team member "misgendered" TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney on the former Olympian's Twitter account last week.
Jenner, who was previously known as Bruce and has identified as a transgender woman since 2015, previously referred to Mulvaney, who also identifies as a transgender woman, as "absurd" for attempting to "normalize" the presence of Mulvaney’s male genitalia while wearing clothing designed for biological women in a TikTok video.
“He is talking about his penis!” Jenner said in the now-deleted tweet in question.
In a statement to the Washington Examiner, Jenner clarified the aforementioned tweet was not made by Jenner but instead by someone associated with the former Olympian with access to Jenner's Twitter account.
"An individual on Ms. Jenner’s team haphazardly misgendered Dylan in the tweet ‘he is talking about his penis,’" a representative for Jenner told the Washington Examiner. "For this we deeply regret the comment and have taken the appropriate actions to rectify the situation internally."
"Ms. Jenner has no further comment on the matter and stands by her statements, otherwise," the statement concluded.
"Misleading headline… you have to read my full statement which says 'Ms. Jenner has no further comment on the matter and stands by her statements, otherwise,'" Jenner said in response to the Washington Examiner's article. "Someone on my team called Dylan ‘he’ that is what was regretted and has been handled internally."
Following backlash — presumably from Mulvaney's supporters and other proponents of transgender ideology — Jenner shared a series of posts expanding on Jenner’s statement that purportedly led to death threats: I have never received more death threats, death threats to my team, nasty hate mail than this week. It is all from the so called ‘inclusive’ lgbt community. I am so disgusted by the hateful individuals threatening my life for giving my opinions on news topics of the day. "Since when is a different opinion grounds for such hatred and death wishes? Do better!" Jenner said in a separate post. "Difference of opinion, dialogue, and conversation is critical to making progress as society," Jenner continued. "Trying to shut me down by threatening my life over and over will never stop me from speaking my opinion. NEVER!" "The lgbt community is NOT a community - it is a demographic. I love so many in it - but being an outspoken common sense conservative in it is dangerous. The left has reached new levels of violence and intolerance. So sad to see."Loading...

Mulvaney shared screenshots of Jenner’s tweets in a follow up video responding to Jenner. Mulvaney claimed not to be “phased” by Jenner's initial claim of "absurdity" though was upset the former Olympian had pointed out his male genitalia.
“Not you calling me a he!” Mulvaney said with a gasp referencing Jenner’s tweet acknowledging the influencer’s groin. “That is just oh terrible.”
“But then you didn’t stop there,” the influencer continued.
Mulvaney referenced a Thursday tweet in which Jenner shared a New York Post article covering the controversy surrounding the two.
“There is a difference between acceptance and tolerance, and normalizing exposing your genitals in a public way and a public place. I do not support that at all, in the slightest. Dylan…congrats your trans with a penis,” said Jenner in a separate, now-deleted Thursday tweet.
