Biden Blurts Out 'I Like Kids Better Than People' at Advance Screening of 'Wonka' (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden awkwardly blurted out "I like kids better than people" at a screening of Wonka for military servicemembers and their families.


The screening took place at a Friendsgiving dinner event at the Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia on Sunday.

Biden told the kids in the crowd, "by the way, I like kids better than people. I wish I could stay and watch Wonka with you, but I'm not going to get to do that."



It was not the first time that Biden has used this phrase.

During a town hall special in February 2021, Biden used the same line.

Biden was talking to host Anderson Cooper about his new baby when he stated, "I get it. No, no, everybody knows I like kids better than people."


While being shouted at by hecklers in Connecticut in October 2021, Biden hugged a toddler and said, "I like kids better than people."


“When I talked to all your folks out on the playground, I joked that everybody knows I like kids better than people. Fortunately they like me. That’s why maybe I like them,” Biden said during his speech.

After making his awkward comment at the Friendsgiving event, Biden approached a little girl who was wearing cat ears.

"I love your ears!" Biden said. "I love 'em. They're really cool! What's your name?"

She told him that it is Catherine.

"What a beautiful name. That's my mommy's name. How old are you? 17?" Biden asked the small child.


"Six," Catherine replied.
