Anna Paulina Luna Addresses Resurfaced MAGA Swimsuit Video

Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has addressed a video of herself wearing a "Make America Great Again" swimsuit which has recently resurfaced online.


The video, reportedly dating back to 2016, features Luna standing in front of an American flag while modeling the MAGA swimsuit. The swimsuit currently retails online for $34.95.

Luna responded to the resurfaced video, which had gone viral throughout the day, in an X post.

"I'm confirming that I have indeed worn swimsuits and you can tell I am a biological woman," Luna wrote.


In a follow-up post, the Florida congresswoman said "the TikTok Democrats are onto me."

"I wear bikinis to the beach and mineral sunscreen," she wrote.


The Florida representative went on to note she had also previously designed swimsuits and women's shirts and had also been featured in Sports Illustrated and MAXIM.

Luna later shared a meme of herself wearing sunglasses captioned: "BREAKING: ANNA PAULINA LUNA WORE RAYBANS REPORTEDLY PURCHASED ONLINE."

"The scandal," Luna wrote.


"There are better [things] to do with your time than digging up modeling photos of me from almost a decade ago," the Florida congresswoman wrote in another post. "The left is attempting to make this a thing yet can’t define a woman. Very low IQ behavior. Get over it."

As the video made its rounds across social media, North Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace suggested she may make a swimsuit of her own. Along with her post, Mace shared an image of a model wearing a white swimsuit with an image of this year's North Carolina Republican primary results in which the congresswoman secured 56.8% of the vote over challengers Catherine Templeton and William Young.

"I'd wear it," Luna responded.


Similar to last year's "calendargate," a series of conservatives took issue with Luna's swimsuit video.

"Anna Paulina Luna is a married congress woman with children and still can’t help but dishonor her family and the country by stripping down half naked for the world to see. Please don’t claim she’s a Christian either," wrote fashion designer Morgan Ariel.


"Anna Paulina Luna should be working at my local Hooters, NOT in Congress!" wrote Dr. Phillip Oliver-Holz.






















"No one is bothered that Anna Paulina Luna is attractive. Yes, obviously she is but you can be attractive and also be modest," wrote the host of RCAM.TV. "What Christians AKA conservatives find frustrating is that we somehow think it’s conservative to be scantily clad. It’s not."

"Modesty IS conservative. Dressing lewd isn’t," he added.


Others, however, threw support behind Luna.

"Anna Paulina Luna being a smokeshow small business owner who designed / modeled her own swimwear and became a congresswoman is a good thing, actually," wrote one user.

"If she performed in drag in front of children, they would celebrate her bravery and courage," wrote another user.
