Podcaster and author Mark Levin's new book will not be allowed to advertise on Meta's Facebook and Instagram.
Facebook and Instagram have reportedly notified Threshold Editions that the platforms will not run ads for the book due to concerns with the title.
“Facebook and Instagram have blocked my book from being advertised on their sites because of the title. Just another example of their censorship," Levin wrote in a X post. "Maybe I’ll put the book in Chinese and ask the Chinese regime to post it, in which case Zuckerberg would dare not block it."
The author concluded his post by saying he would be happy to meet Meta's owner Mark Zuckerberg in a UFC ring "anytime," referencing the Facebook co-creator's proposed bout with tech mogul Elon Musk.
“It’s brass knuckles, baby,” Levin told the Washington Examiner, adding his new book is different than his previous publications. “I feel that the Democrat Party has gotten away with deceit, propaganda, and deception long enough, and it needs to be held accountable for all the horrific disasters that it has unleashed on the American people right across the board, for its ideology, which is very foreign to our founding."
"They’re going through the country like Sherman through Atlanta."
Levin said the book is not written for legacy media outlets like CNN, MSNBC, The Washington Post, or The New York Times.
"To me, they are participants in the process. So, I’m really not trying to persuade them about anything," he continued. "This is a message to people who love this country, who are patriots, and it's time to place the blame exactly where it belongs. It has been going on a long time. The Democratic Party has never accepted the founding principles of this country from day one."
Retail giant Target similarly raised concern over the book's title, though confirmed the outlet would sell Levin's book in store and online.
“We've been offering this book for pre-sale since mid-June," the outlet wrote in a statement per the Washington Examiner. "As we have with Mark Levin’s past books, many of which are currently available for sale at Target, we'll offer his newest title for sale when it is available on September 19. The use of the word ‘hate’ in the title caused our team to reach out to the publisher, but as stated, we are continuing to offer this book for pre-sale now and it will be available for sale on its release date."
The outlet added: "We regret any confusion this situation caused.”
