A group of activists joined politicians and several political hopefuls at the Rally for Reproductive Justice in New York City’s Washington Square Park on Aug. 13.
Featured speakers included Yuh-Line Niou and Caroline Rivera — both of whom are running for Congress in New York’s 10th District. Come by Washington Square Park tomorrow at 11a for a Rally for Reproductive Justice!! I'm honored to be one of the speakers. pic.twitter.com/Ks3EXB4N5S

Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney (D-N.Y. 12th District) was also in attendance to raise awareness regarding abortion rights.
“This dangerous and extreme Supreme Court has overturned rights that we took for granted. It’s the first time they’ve taken a human right and rolled it back,” Maloney said.
She added: “I will never give up and I will never give in.”
Members of Amplify Her, a grassroots movement that aims to address women’s underrepresentation in New York City’s elected offices, were also involved in the event.
Timcast’s Elad Eliahu was there to speak with attendees about the perceived impacts of Roe v. Wade being overturned, state congressional candidate Dan Goldman’s claim to be pro-choice but opposed to abortion, and whether or not Democrats are to blame for not codifying abortion rights into law during the Obama Administration.
