In re-elected, former President Donald Trump said he would be inclined to release the complete list of names of those who attended the island of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Though various legal documents and reports have revealed some individuals associated with the deceased sex offender, a comprehensive list has never been released.
Trump discussed Epstein during an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman released on Tuesday afternoon.
“There's a moment where you had some hesitation about Epstein, releasing some of the documents on Epstein. Why the hesitation?” Fridman asked.
“I don't think, I mean, I'm not involved,” Trump said. “I never went to his island, fortunately, but a lot of people did.”
Fridman then asked why the former president thinks “so many smart, powerful people” surrounded Epstein.
“He was a good salesman,” Trump said. “He was, you know, he was a hale and hearty type of guy. He had some nice assets that he’d throw around, like islands.”
He added: “But a lot of big people went to that island. But fortunately, I was not one of them.”
“It's just very strange for a lot of people that, the list of clients that went to the island has not been made public,” Fridman said.
“Yeah, it's very interesting, isn't it? It probably will be, by the way, probably,” Trump said, adding that he would “certainly take a look at it. … I'd be inclined to do the Epstein [release]. I'd have no problem with it.” NOW - Trump says, if elected, he'll "have no problem" releasing Epstein's client list.pic.twitter.com/C9j6qHs4NE

The former president also committed to releasing information related to John F. Kennedy’s assassination and video footage of UFOs.
“Now, Kennedy is interesting because it's so many years ago, you know. They do that for danger too because, you know, it endangers certain people, et cetera, et cetera,” Trump said. “So, Kennedy is very different from the Epstein thing.”
Fridman mentioned that the Pentagon has released videos and made public anecdotal reports from fighter pilots.
“So, a lot of people wanna know, will you help push the Pentagon to release more footage which a lot of people claim is available?” the podcaster asked.
“Oh, yeah, sure, I'll do that,” Trump said. “I would do that. I'd love to do that. I have to do that."
“But they were also pushing me on Kennedy and I did release a lot, but I had people come to me and beg me not to do it, but I'll be doing that very early on. … I would do that.”
The hour-long interview, which received 1.2 million views within a few hours of its release, covered a variety of topics, including the war in Ukraine, Vice President Kamala Harris’ interview with CNN last week, and the former president’s recent endorsement of marijuana legalization.
