Next week, members of the House Oversight Committee will receive a classified briefing provided by the Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community, according to a letter obtained by Axios. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 9 in the Office of House Security. Over the past year, there has been renewed interest in the subject of UFOs — more formally known within government and military circles as “unexplained aerial phenomenon,” or UAPs — as whistleblower testimony has stated the U.S. government is in possession of multiple intact craft of non-human origin. Congressman Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), who is spearheading the effort with several other officials, said during a hearing last summer that alien craft have technology that could “turn us into a charcoal briquette.” He stated, “We’ve had a heck of a lot of pushback about this hearing. There are a lot of people who don’t want this to come to light,” adding that the government holds evidence of technology that defies all of the known laws of physics. A month prior, David Grusch, a former intelligence official who led analysis of UAPs within the Department of Defense, said the U.S. government has conducted a “multi-decade” secret UFO program that has allowed the government to procure craft of non-human origin. Grusch, who provided detailed reports with hours of transcribed classified information to Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG), said the information has been illegally withheld from Congress. Jonathan Grey, an officer with the U.S. National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), said during an interview with The Debrief, “The non-human intelligence phenomenon is real. We are not alone. Retrievals of this kind are not limited to the United States. This is a global phenomenon, and yet a global solution continues to elude us.” As detailed by The Debrief, Grusch explained that the government has maintained “legacy programs” that have been hidden within “multiple agencies nesting UAP activities in conventional secret access programs without appropriate reporting to various oversight authorities.”Following months of formal requests, U.S. congressional officials will soon get a briefing on UFOs.
